            Active Sports Bras Launch

            Picture
Protect your bits and take a friend to get fit together!
Today, a brand new website launches, dedicated to helping women find the right sports bra at super cheap prices. www.activesportsbras.co.uk/ carry a huge range of sports bras from the leading brands for a variety of sports, helping you to protect your best bits from damage.
The correct sports bra is as important for women as is the right pair of running shoes. Researchers at Portsmouth have estimated that up to 9.5 million women in the UK alone could be damaging their breasts by not wearing a properly fitting sports bra and thus injuring and damaging the tissue and ligaments of their breasts.
Active Sports Bras have also made it their mission to get more women into sport. They've launched their "Be A Sport - Take a Mate" campaign to support this goal. I support their campaign too, because sport provides great opportunities to build friendships, do something to stay healthy, go places you thought you could never go. In order to help you and your mate make the first step on that journey, Active Sports Bras have issued an exclusive Discount Code for readers of my blog. So, come on, grab your "Bestie" head over to www.activesportsbras.co.uk , get shopping and at the checkout enter XFMGIRL10 for an exclusive discount!

            Project Nancy (as in France)

            Picture
Escaping from Alcatraz is now yesterday's news and I am in full swing preparing for next year. I want to make 2012 a brilliant year 2 in triathlon and year 1 of seriously considering duathlon.

Since the ITU announced Nancy (France) as the location for year's duathlon World Championships, I've been plotting and planning to make "Project Nancy" a reality. You can read more about it and myself in the ABOUT section.

With a running background, you would think that it will all come easy to me. I have no illusions that it will be anything but hard work. I will chronicle random bits and thoughts in the BLOG and provide RACE reports. Please also have a look at the people and companies that make up my SUPPORTERS club. They keep me motivated, in one piece, looking swish and provide invaluable advice and guidance on the journey!

So come along now, join me on the ride and run to Nancy!

            News

            Onwards and Upwards
Twitter followers will have noticed, I've had a tough couple of weeks with injuring myself at the beginning of the year in Race 2 of the Monikie Series. It took me ages to figure out what the cause was: a bad saddle and that my body didn't take too kindle to the changes we'd made in the bike fit. A short tweak, lots of massages and many cross training sessions later, I'm now back on track - sort of. I can run for 20 min and have painfree bike work outs. Hoorah! So onwards and upwards. 4 weeks to the qualifier and 6 weeks to the Europeans.
